At the Entrance of the Woods of Words
美術家のかなもりゆうこさんの作品『郵便プロジェクト』でコラボレーションしました。かなもりさんは映像やインスタレーションを中心に、丁寧な手仕事の要素を取り入れて作品制作をされています。
I collaborated with Yuko Kanamori, an artist, on her art piece called ‘Mail Project’. Yuko is an interdisciplinary artist. Her works cover visual images and installations with elaborate handwork.
郵便物にはかなもりさんの美しいアートピース、言葉をちりばめて描いた「Star Words Map」。みなさんからの言葉を送っていただく「ABC返信葉書」などが同封されています。小さなインタビューをしていただいたので、英訳もつけてみました。夏にはみなさんから集まった言葉を紡いで、違った形でご覧いただけるようにと企画中です。
Enclosed in the mail are Yuko’s small, beautiful art pieces, my drawing titled ’Star Words Map’ and an ‘ABC reply card’ that you can fill out with your favorite words and send back to us. I got interviewed by Yuko. We’re planning to make and showcase another art piece with the words that we receive from you.
